This conflict, like many others, is driven by economic interests and capital, not simple good versus evil narratives.

We in the Global South are very familiar with how the West operates, especially when it comes to resource extraction.

And this is not a question of evil vs good as some tend to think. It is all about CAPITAL, these are the dynamics in play in this system.

Many companies, including well-known names like Samsung, Microsoft, Intel, Sony, Volkswagen, Ford, and General Motors, use these minerals in their supply chains, often sourced from areas where illegal mining and deforestation have devastating effects on local ecosystems and Indigenous communities.

It happened in colonialism time and it happens now.

This isn't just a one-time incident—it's a systematic issue tied to global capitalism.
