Annika Backstrom@alisonkiddle If you drive for one hour at 60mph, then one hour at 40mph, that's 100 miles in 2 hours, an average of 50mph. The average is the same for any length of travel (30 minutes per leg = 30 miles + 20 miles = 50 miles in 1 hour)
