@thomasfuchs What's funny to me is how for the longest time AI, neural networks, genetic algorithms and the like were relegated to video games and stuff like that. Like, I programmed some basic ones a decade ago in university, just like every other game dev student.

Now AI bros are now talking about them and hyping them up like some brand new thing and the mainstream media eats it up because they don't know anything about tech, all because a VC funded startup found a new way to sell it. 🤦♂️
