The 14th gen are use by my wife and I in the home office. I have an i3 that I use for ncmpcpp and a visualizer above my desk attached to two monitors. I have an i7 under my desk with windows to do admin work in ableton / studio one. I have an i5 on my desk running plan9. I have an i3 all-in-one on my desk return that I use to run backups, etc while I'm working. I have an i7 in the living room for retrogaming, movies, music. I have an i5 in the family room for my wife to use for home schooling and playing music. The i9 is for music production. I have a laptop in the living room for a terminal when I need one quickly. I also have an i5 I use as a file server with a few network applications (mpd, local mumble, local irc, caldav, etc). My kids each have a computer too. I have an i7 I use to run my electronic drums. Then I have a three i5s and an i3 at the office. I have a couple of computers in the closet too.
