Eugen Rochko@anon_opin Physical media like books, cassette tapes, and vinyl have strong secondary markets. If you don’t need it anymore you can sell it to someone who does. Physical media also has a longer shelf life. Digital files disappear from streaming and hosting services, hard drives fail, DRM prevents preservation altogether, and so on.
