- Embed this notice@Hyolobrika i do believe in rights, but i don't believe in legislated rights, or positive natural rights in general. you can get all sorts of rights from contractual obligations though. i think the difference is shown in your example: "everyone has a right to life" is not a right i would believe in. "everyone has a right to not be unjustly hurt" would be. "everyone has a right to life" would imply that someone would have to actively keep everyone alive, which is an imposition on whoever that person would be.
