silverpill@grunfink I think you can achieve that with ActivityPub too. Servers can pull from outboxes (and other collections) instead of pushing to inboxes. I can find only one protocol feature that can't be implemented without breaking compatibility with existing software: generation of a post without wrapping it into Create activity. AFAIK it's against the spec.
