@zimowski @egg to be fair, there's no algorithm here. I'm sure you know since you've been here so long, but I figured I'd mention it, since egg said algorithmic.

There's a lot of topics that aren't discussed here and that is very unfortunate.

Though, in that regard, I'd advise to be patient, Threads is in the process of federating and I'm willing to bet that by the beginning of next year, there will be a whole ton of new folks to discuss different topics with.

I should ask, how do you interact with mastodon? Do you have the official app on your phone or tablet? Or are you using the web? There's also many third party apps that are way better than the official one in a lot of ways.
