Hell, she even told me how at Helsinki airport there were lots of Japanese waiting for the flight to Haneda, and with the exception of 2 people, nobody was wearing a face diaper until it was time to board the plane, at that point almost everyone was wearing one.
In a sense something tells me that it's more about blindly following the rules than it is because most people genuinely still believe in this fake virus that doesn't even exist.
On the other hand, you get experiences like what I had a few weeks ago on the train where I was offered a whole pack of face diapers and the guy was going absolutely insane when I declined, and you go straight into believing that there actually still are those who genuinely believe in this fictional "sickness".
While we're at it, until recently I thought that if somebody is wearing 2 face diapers and/or a face diaper + plastic covering their entire face they MUST believe it's real, those who wear none MUST know it's a scam, and those who wear 1 face diaper might or might not believe it's real, and just wear it because of "rules", which aren't even rules because you J-Gov never mandated face diapers to begin with.
However, a woman who was wearing 2 face diapers on the train saw I was wearing none, so then she took off both of her face diapers, and took it back on again when she left the train.
So this made me thing that even those who wear 2 face diapers are probably "just following the rules".
