The Gen 2 games may actually be the biggest baby games of all, they are ridiculously easy. It has more content than most, but that content is just one-shotting low level pokes controlled by an artificial unintelligence that for the most part just selects random bad moves and never switches. The actual Gen 2 pokemon are very unavailable and most of them are horrific. Horrible stats, horrible moves, horrible everything. Houndour/Derubiru is pretty good, though... when you can catch it in fucking Kanto. Why is a Johto pokemon only in Kanto?! Tyranitar/Bangiras is pretty good too, after you beat the game and have nothing left to do!
Gen 3 and Gen 4 had the Battle Frontier, though. That was nice, even though the Battle Factory does drive me fucking nuts because I can't use my own team and I keep getting screwed over by bad luck and the AI probably knowing the future outcome of everything that they can do and everything that I can do. Still, really damn good. Black 2 and White 2 had a lot of content too. They used to actually put effort into their games, even though the core experience was just hitting the A button.
