- Embed this notice@BigTony i dont believe hell is even a place, more like a state of being. hell is where sinners go because it is seperated from god. god's presence is everywhere tho and is suffused in all things, as they are his creations. so if god is everywhere on earth and beyond how can a place exist that's separate from him? by not being a place at all is how. hell imo is non-existence. when a person dies without having atoned for his sins by accepting jesus as his savior, his spirit dies as well. the person that was is gone forever. thats what makes sense to me.
if hell is an actual place tho i think i prefer dante's interpretation of a layered pit because in his comedy it's possible for sinful souls to find redemption through great effort and perseverence, even after death.
