They have a psychedelic pattern made up of white, orange, brown and black. In the center of the photo, they are perched on top of a mint flower, sucking nectar from the flower. they spin and move their wings like a wind-up toy.
The long straws that extend from their faces and mouths are pale orange and very thin.
The mint flowers are clusters of white florets that are just beginning to open.
