This is a close-up photo of Argyreus hyperbius~tsumagurohyoumon butterfly. They have a psychedelic pattern made up of white, orange, brown and black. In the center of the photo, they are perched on top of a mint flower, sucking nectar from the flower. they spin and move their wings like a wind-up toy. The long straws that extend from their faces and mouths are pale orange and very thin. The mint flowers are clusters of white florets that are just beginning to open. In addition to this butterfly, there were many stink bugs and bees enjoying a tea party in the mint field.
