Ames🧵 Although I’m really happy that Imane Khelif, who seems like an excellent human, is now getting tons of support (and the bigots seem to be returning to their burrows) I’m a bit queasy with some of the subtext. There seems to be a lot of: “The claim that Khelif was trans/intersex/X-Y came from a corrupt Russian organisation with no credibility and it almost certainly isn’t true. So you can relax because Khelif is a ‘proper’ woman after all.” 1/2
