@69poopy96 @Terry Are you actually retarded or just *that* committed to the bit? Do you also think it's impossible for Catholic priests to sodomize boys? Are you seriously fact-checking a joke? Did a creepy uncle molest the sense of humor right out of you?

:pinkwojak: THE TALIBAN CAN'T ALLOW THAT THEY'RE TOO BAAAAAAASED

Practical reality, man. First, their authority is not absolute. The farther you get from Kabul, the easier it is to completely ignore them. There is no effective central governing body in that country.

Second, what's the Quran say about selling poppies to Palestine to produce heroin? Just curious.

    > The Taliban aren't fucking Arabs, they're Pashtoons.

Who said they were Arabs? That article was not about the Taliban: "bacha bazi" is a Persian phrase, but some people have been making creative edits. There have been plenty of creative removals: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bacha_bazi&diff=prev&oldid=1222596842 , https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Bacha_bazi&diff=prev&oldid=1222597493 .

So, Iran: https://iranicaonline.org/articles/homosexuality-iii . Oh, hey, Ottomans and Barbary Coast pirates kidnapping all the non-Turks they could find and shoving the girls into harems and turning the boys into eunuch slaves. Or I don't wanna do this with you so here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_people_and_Islam#Pre-modern_era .

      Bacha bazi
Bacha bāzī (Persian: بچه بازی, lit. 'boy play') is a practice in which men (sometimes called bacha baz) buy and keep adolescent boys (sometimes called dancing boys) for entertainment and sex. It is a custom in Afghanistan and in historical Turkestan and often involves sexual slavery and child prostitution by older men of young adolescent males. According to German ethnographic research, the phenomenon is up to a thousand years old. As far back as the 9th or 10th century, the mountainous regions that are now northern Afghanistan were known for this practice. Bacha bazi was outlawed during the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan period. Nevertheless, it was widely practiced. Force and coercion were common, and security officials of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan stated they were unable to end such practices and that many of the men involved in bacha bazi were powerful and well-armed warlords. During the time of Taliban rule currently and previously, bacha bazi carries the death penalty under Taliban law. Under the Islamic Republic government...

      LGBT people and Islam
Within the Muslim world, sentiment towards LGBT people varies and has varied between societies and individual Muslims, but is contemporarily negative. While colloquial and in many cases de facto official acceptance of at least some homosexual behavior was commonplace in pre-modern periods, later developments, starting from the 19th-century, have created a generally hostile environment for LGBT people. Most Muslim-majority countries have opposed moves to advance LGBT rights and recognition at the United Nations (UN), including within the UN General Assembly and the UN Human Rights Council. Meanwhile, contemporary Islamic jurisprudence generally accepts the possibility for transgender people (mukhannith/mutarajjilah) to change their gender status...
