You also have to blame the false Christian moralities of Christian pacism, non-intervention, and the like, the perpetuated the last few centuries in all branches, which mangle, misinterpret, and hyperfocus on the "turn the other check," "love your enemies," and "my kingdom is not of this world" verses, painting a false Christ and morality.
The real Christ is one who said those, though properly put in context and interpreted, yet also was the one who commanded Moses and Joshua to slaughter every man, women, and child of the Canaanite tribes, warned unbelievers that they would be cast into Gehenna, told active rebels against God that they would be ones "who did not want [Christ] to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before [Him]," prophesied that He is one who "in righteousness...judges and makes war," and will "put all his enemies under his feet."
