Live streams are already a thing, obviously, but I just don't think Fedi is big enough for those to gain much traction yet.

Also, there needs to be a built-in monetization solution. Big events won't stream on Fedi if there's no way to monetize it. Big events are funded mostly by sponsorships, but with Fedi still being small, the bigger sponsors either don't know about Fedi, or don't see it as a good way to put their brand out there.

Its more than likely the former, but if it's the latter, I wouldn't be surprised given that Fedi seems to be completely against ads, sponsorships, monetization, etc.😬

Things like avatars being more than just an image, are there specific things you had in mind? I'm just not thinking of anything that could be done with them...🤔
