I have good and bad news about this federal ruling out of the Eastern District of New York:

Good: there's now at least one federal district in which CBP can't search people's electronic devices at the border without probable cause and a warrant.
Bad: the headline of this article, "Courts Close the Loophole Letting the Feds Search Your Phone at the Border," is wrong.
This ruling only applies in the district in which it was made, not nationwide.
