Well respond differently to these due to genetic but in general if you ingest it's normal to have a glucose spike.
I think it would be wiser to eat a fruit rather like a lemon or meat/eggs if you want proteins rather than a transformed product.
I'm a bit of an extreme case but my fast breaking starts with a whole blended lemon with apple cider vinegar and 2clove buds. Then I have green tea with infused ginger root and cinamon. And then 2 cloves of raw garlic, and then a bowl of pure (100%) cocoa with drops of Stevia rebaudiana extract.
