@blenderdumbass @kittynunu A bootloader exploit for old iphones up to the 7 has been discovered I believe, so you can install GNU/Linux onto those iphones (not surprising as Samsung made many iphone SoC's).

Porting isn't very complete, as few drivers are complete - typically you just get shell access and maybe framebuffer display output and no power management - but if more drivers are complete, the millions of old and now useless iphones floating around may be useful as low power webservers.
