If you're talking about the negative parts of liberals, then talk about liberals not fascists. If you want to draw comparisons, you can call them the fascistic tendencies or acts or consequences of libs. If libs are ineffective, complacent, blind to, or vulnerable to fascism, say that.
I don't know your viewpoint on the matter, but based on previous discussions with people who conflate these two terms, it's often because they use 'fascist' like it's a slur or derogatory term instead of a descriptive term.
Fascist is not a slur. It's an ideology. 'fashlib' only tells me your attitude toward libs, the way a slur would, and not what the libs actually are. Are they normal libs? Fascists pretending to be libs?
