To be precise they are the thin skin covering the round fruit.
The thin skins are three-dimensional, heart-shaped, and have many veins and laying hairs.
The fruit in the upper left of the photo is still young and green. The fruit in the center and lower right of the photo is orange in the upper half and green in the lower half. One small ant is walking on the berries.
The background is a blur of their large leaves and stems.</a></label><br><a href="https://s3.fedibird.com/media_attachments/files/112/802/161/531/002/079/original/78f2092f0285875e.jpeg" rel="external">https://s3.fedibird.com/media_attachments/files/112/802/161/531/002/079/original/78f2092f0285875e.jpeg</a></li><li><label><a rel="external" href="https://gnusocial.jp/attachment/2921498">We look at the Chinese Lantern berries from above at an angle.
The overall color of this fruit is quite orange, with only the lower part of the three-dimensional heart shape remaining green. These berries are about 5 or 6 cm in diameter.
But when they are observed from an angle, they remind one of the orange pumpkins that are active on Halloween. Their appearance is unique and delicate.
