Rothbard also thinks that slavery contracts are invalid (because of the inalienability of conscience) and forced labor of any kind (even if you have a contract) is a rights violation. But he would say that it is valid to have a contract that provides for damages that you are liable for if you don't deliver on your side of the deal (i.e. don't show up for work). It also makes sense given that ellerman's system seems to have a huge disparity between me making a chair and then selling it to you vs you hiring me to build a chair, even when the result is the same and the only difference is time (plus interest).
