No, in any half decent country, manufacturers cannot void a warranty for a mere battery replacement and any manufacturer claiming such is acting ilegally.
They can only void the warranty if they can prove the battery change was done so poorly that the device was broken in the process, or the installed battery was defective and broke the device with excessive voltage.
