Can I temper your enthusiasm for the UK result by noting that the Tories suffered from an enthusiastically large shift of votes from them to a fash-adjacent bunch of chancers led by Farage, and this accounted for many of their losses.
However it's fair also to point out that both the LibDem and Green parties also gained substantially increased vote share, so it's not unvarnished negative news.
