@sun_eat3r @arisu @mia having been on both sides of this dilemma personally (convinced transphobe and transwoman), I think the best approach is being generally sympathetic but being judicious in aggression and/or firm reprimands such that whoever can be won over will be and the rest can safely be left to their own misery (they're in reality punishing themselves way more than any external influence ever could hope to)
