@askans @LaurensHof the issue, is when these big corporations see a third party bridge on their network, they automatically think "well, I don't have to do anything now, we're just automatically part of the Fediverse with no extra work needed! This person did it all for free!"

That's not a good look for Fedi. Companies getting included without any work from them, adds very little value if they don't continue to evolve and make the integrations work pleasantly.
