@cmdr_nova I think a lot of it is just vibing with the culture of where you are. I've always struggled to get any kind of engagement on Insta, Twitter, and the rest.

I feel that in the Fedi, there's a big tonal shift from the others insofar as people here aren't so much an 'audience' so much as a clusterfuck of weirdos from around the globe (myself included).

It's more work because it's more human here, less algorithmic; more conversational than broadcasting.
