@cmdr_nova I haven't seen the blog post but generally I'd say fedi (Mastodon included) is not as good for artists or general discovery as Twitter and co' because it's not designed to promote users and posts.

People can boost your art and of course interested people will follow you for your work (I follow a few artists on fedi myself) but it won't happen as automatically as Twitter.
