I've been writing small music posts for quite some time, and off and on reviews for a few decades in different venues. Given how sprawling my tastes are, part of the post often gives really clear context as to whether something is going to be artsy pop from the UK, thrash metal from the US, or a specific stripe of fusion from some "far-flung corner" of the globe.

That way the audience can "get sorted"
