Brian@ryanhoulihan I read a gay wizard book series in the 90s and neither myself nor the librarians were wiser (Midwest) 😈 Can’t find the name at all but it was pitch perfect - protagonist’s first love is murdered by intolerant people, then he protects them so they stay at distance and whisper campaign him into adulthood, then he finds love and peace away from them.
