@MacNaBracha One was reported as being seriously injured at the time, but I can't see any updates.
They clearly got it wrong and shouldn't have been there, but contrast the reporting of it and reaction to the story, with the fairly regular reporting of car drivers getting themselves into the wrong place. They are presented as being fairly uniquely incompetent and nothing like the norm. One cyclist does something daft, and they're presented as being representative of all cyclists.
