@doctormo There were a lot of Black people taking the step from Twitter to Mastodon, but Black community building on here has been actively sabotaged by white supremacists using the (supposedly anti-harassment) functionality of mastodon to do so.
And the campaign has been empowered by more or less willingly clueless white people of all stripes either saying "well, I haven't seen any racism, are you sure?" or "I'm sure they didn't mean it _that_ way", and "oh, just switch servers" in absurdum.
