And by false fan I don't just mean "a 'star wars fan' whose only seen the disney movies" or whatever.
I mean Hetalia fans who hate Hetalia but like their own version of it.
I mean the Danny Phantom fan whose only frame of reference is Danny Phantom Fanfics.
I mean the Danganronpa fan who realized their favorite character is shit cuz they finally played the game after talking about it for 2 years.
And I think the only reason they feel compelked to call themselves fans in the first place is because of FOMO and their twitter timelines gave them a false impression of what the media is actually like.
This has been happening even with older shit because evrrything is so accessible now.
