@ErikUden As far as I know, this can be regarded as some sort of PR stunt that unfortunately even some very smart and prominent people fell for. Bottom line: by claiming fictional risks of fictional general artificial intelligence (which many experts in the field regard as impossible to achieve), “AI” gains even more importance in the public perception. Plus now we know the “good player” who want to regulate it early on (strictly to their terms though). (1/2)
