Him: 'He's beautiful.'
Me: 'She.'
Him: 'She's beautiful.'
Me: (making a joke) 'It's okay, she's not picky about her pronouns.'
Him: (triggered) 'Oh jeez, here we go. Everyone's got pronouns all of the sudden.'

This exchange got me thinking. The right is conditioned to be triggered by words. Words and phrases like 'identify as' and 'pronouns' trigger them, even though the concept of having a preferred pronoun isn't lost on them. 🤔
