Hamas are bad; but the west needs to change its minds on Israel, not Hamas, for the genocide to be averted. We can stop people from agreeing with Israel, we can't stop islamists from being islamists except to drop fewer bombs on brown people; and that'll sooner happen by criticizing Israel as well.
