@HeavenlyPossum Aha, I finally see what's going on here; Clearly you value and enjoy 'being right', but unfortunately, that's not a winning strategy. If being right was helpful, the left would not be losing as badly as they are in the world, because they're right on basically every issue.
Were anti-conscription arguments used by pro-russians to undermine pro-ukraine messaging though? Asking.
Because if it was a widely used tactic, then I would tell you not to waste time arguing against conscription, and instead talk about how Russia is cynically employing leftist rhetoric to undermine support of Ukraine and enable its own conscription for genocide and imperialism.
Wresting back control of the conversation is infinitely more valuable than 'being right' on any given issue.
Saying hamas bad is right, but not insightful, saying Azov bad is right, but even less insightful, saying conscription bad is a lot better but if it's a core part of their propaganda strategy then the right thing would be to say that they're abusing that good point instead of just saying conscription bad.
I was addicted to 'being right' as a teenager baby leftoid and it caused me to say a lotta right wing shit, until I figured out that I was being counterproductive.
