It did great on the test drive today, I had to a 1.8L Mazda 626 before this and the new one I'm buying has got the 2.2L engine and you can really feel that difference.
Things that definitely need to be done are battery, tires and alignment. There's one rust hole on the passenger side I discovered that's not too bad, it could probably pass inspection with it.
I got the records showing car has actually been sitting the past 4 years, the only thing the previous owner did with it was make it pass inspection every year for whatever reason even though he barely drove it, so the last time it had inspection is actually January of this year. It has only 190k kilometers on it, despite being a 33 year old car.
I usually avoid cars that have been sitting for a long time because they usually get weird issues because of that, but at least this one was stored inside and only for 4 years, not like 10, so it shouldn't be too bad.
