@MrBumble @judgedread @DMA The difference being with Lexx is nobody fixated enough to scrutinize it like Star Trek or other "big" series. Because they weren't meant to be scrutinized either. There's a fucking novel's worth of "cope" over Star Trek transporters working despite the technology being retarded for a million different reasons, and the truth is the only reason the production came up with the technology is because it looked cool and they didn't have their shuttle craft ready yet. Which, means the production couldn't afford a van sized prop, which is all it was.
