I'm a big fan of the UBI idea, but there's one key caveat. There must be public ownership, or profit limits, on essential goods and services.

Just look how energy and food companies used #Greedflation to suck up all the available money that people saved during the pandemic.

UBI, without the prevention of such exploitation, will only lead to another round of energy, food, housing inflation ...because they can.
