It's really about priorities I guess. I was just doing low-end government work (Universities pay shit) and contracts, but I saved up $10k, got my Australian holiday work visa and turned 30 in Melbourne. I traveled after that for years (still doing the same boring work but in crazy new places). One of my best friends moved to German after working even shittier/lower paying jobs, earning under $15k/year ... she just saved/scrapped and lived off of 500euro a month she earned teaching English. :blobcatshrug:
