- Embed this notice@j People just have shitty memories about such things. I remember when diesel cars were being pushed as a solution to the gas crisis, then the EPA shut it down hard with selective enforcement (German cars had good diesel technology, so American car companies wanted to cut out a competitor). I also remember hydrogen fuel cells being pushed, and while I still think they're a bit stupid, they're far better than the battery electric cars we have now.
