Sean Eric Fagan@darnell Apple's libraries have fairly different SSL/TLS APIs, because of a bunch of frustration had with openssl. (Some of which was licensing, mind you, but some of which was due to things like wanting it to be asynchronous, or support various OS features had implemented.)
