In fact, my views evolved, or I walked off the plantation on this, if you will, before the big war in Ukraine in 2022, and certainly before Israel carried out their revenge for 10/7. Remember how Pol-Pot established the still unbeaten record of people killed per capita (in modern times, of course -- Genghis Khan genocided people completely)? The only thing that saved the remainder of Campucheans was a naked war of aggression by Vietnam.
