kind of a goofy thing but you can record audio and then use the slicer to pick parts to assign to pads. neat.

if you go in the drum kit editor it will say something like "recording0_s6" which seems to be a jumble for the slice number. if you poke this setting, it asks for a file to assign. i have no idea how to assign it to a slice again though. only how to create a drumpad from a sliced wav in the first place. :blobcatdunno:
