An Asian living in America has a visa (H1-B, H1-J, student, permanent/greencard, etc.) and an Asian American is a citizen.</p><p>My dad got a visa, with his job, and worked as an engineer to bring his family over. My dad and sister took their tests and earned their citizenship. That means something. There's no such thing as an "asian American", there's only Asians in America
