- Embed this noticeIt's honestly difficult to logically piece together the events that led up to the 'fall of the iron curtain'. The fall of the Berlin wall should have been the end of NATO, but it wasn't. Instead, they went on to send most of the west's manufacturing capabilities to Asia... which made no sense if NATO was supposedly needed to defend the west from 'communism'.
There seems to be something else to the supposed rivalry between the east and the west. Perhaps it's just another wealth extraction and population reduction mechanism instead of an actual rivalry.
