- Embed this notice@eric I think what offends people is the way the instance essentially says "in case people get harassed, we trust they will use necessary tools to stifle these actions"; people perceive it as "We don't care, sort it out yourself." (so it's free speech?!!!!!!)
I personally agree with it as it allows the user to decide with their sufficient tools (block, mute, so on) and not a dogmatic presence, though it's understandable (even if disagreeable) that people want more moderation intervention.
Is that enough to disallow innocent folks caught in the crossfire from communicating to one another, I really don't think so; haven't we had enough world wars in the past five years to prove that citizens just want to live and the problem is with their governments? Why not use that analogy to say and understand the users of an instance just want to have fun regardless of their administrator(s)?
