It's exciting to see those two concepts in the same sentence. Especially if, like me, you've seen what exponential growth can do.Paul Graham @paulg • Jul 10, 2019 Something Lambda School shares with YC: they can't accept many more students than they can get hired, just as YC can't accept many more startups than they can get funded. I can tell you from experience that this constraint is wonderfully focusing.Paul Graham @paulg • Jun 10, 2019 ... When I met Austen and did the math, I realized the simple reason Lambda School prepares students so well. It's so intense that they do about the same amount of programming as you would in a CS degree. They just do it in 9 months instead of 4 years. x.com/Austen/status/...
https://media.hachyderm.io/media_attachments/files/112/290/240/837/345/308/original/e88410a3a70679e7.png

Paul Graham @paulg • Apr 27,2020 ••• Replying to@paulg Lambda School will teach you programming faster than most colleges. If it's not already prestigious to be a Lambda School graduate, it won't be long before it is.Paul Graham @paulg • Jun 12, 2019 Replying to @paulg Lambda School may not be a complete solution to the brokenness of US higher education, but it's an immediate one. The CFPB found that BloomTech and Allred falsely told students the school’s “income share” agreement contracts were not loans, when in fact the agreements were loans carrying an average finance charge of around $4,000. BloomTech and Allred lured prospective enrollees with inflated promises of job-placement rates as high as 86 percent, when the company’s internal metrics showed placement rates closer to 50 percent and in some cases as low as 30 percent. The order permanently bans BloomTech from all consumer-lending activities and bans Allred from any student-lending activities for ten years. The CFPB is also ordering BloomTech and Allred to cease collecting payments on income share loans for graduates who did not have a qualifying job, eliminate finance changes for certain agreements, and allow students the option to withdraw without penalty. BloomTech and Allred must also pay over $164,000 in civil penalties, which will be deposited in the CFPB’s victims relief fund.
https://media.hachyderm.io/media_attachments/files/112/290/241/487/056/855/original/1d9f6b6816006480.png
